As he put his arm around my waist, firmly holding me, while his fingers touched my ribs I felt totally safe. Half my body was falling onto him, I was barely conscious. But I could feel that safety coming from him, I could even smell his scent, feel his heart beat.
While he was holding me on one arm he hold his sword on the other. He kept fighting the mobs just like that, as if I wasn't any burden to carry. When the fight was over, everyone went towards the sea to get out of there. It was an underwater journey, to get to the other side, where we would leave this monster place. While still holding me, he dived, swimming with me on one side of his body.
When we got to shore I was starting to wake up. The first thing my blurry eyes saw was him. He was looking at me in shock, having disappointment filling them up. Even his mouth was slightly opened as he couldn't believe what he was seeing. I immediately felt guilty but I couldn't exactly move on my own. I was too weak, on every side of the word. My rescuer kept carrying me to dry land. We passed by him, but I couldn't even face him right. Having my eyes slightly narrowed I lowered my head and just tried to look a little up, but his face was agonizing.
Everyone laid down on the sand. My rescuer put me down and laid down a bit further by my side and he laid just as close as he could to me. I could feel a shiver coming up my spine as his body touched mine. I could feel the scent of territorial land marking as he was just standing there, close to me.
The looks were intense. My rescuer kept staring at me, I kept staring, even though trying to be discreet, at him and him was staring at my rescuer.
On the one hand, I felt tremendously grateful for having being rescued but somehow it was killing me. Knowing that, a simple touch, just to be saved, from that particular person would hurt him. But I couldn't control that much longer. Something was driving me closer and closer to the man who saved me. The mystery, the seriousness of his face, the ruthless of his acts... he was filling my thoughts, consciously and unconciously, but it shouldn't be him there. It shouldn't.
